These terms apply to the use of this site, the official website of the author Hermínio Cerqueira, in all its language versions. By browsing the site you accept them; if you do not agree with them, you should not use it.

The texts (poems, essays, analyses, excerpts, and other content), the photographs of the author, the audio recordings, and the site’s original graphic elements are protected by copyright and belong to Hermínio Cerqueira, unless stated otherwise. All rights reserved.

Book covers are shown to identify the works; the rights in them belong to their respective holders.

Translations marked as provisional are provided only to make reading easier and do not replace the original Portuguese text.

You are free, without asking first, to:

• read and share links to any page;
• quote brief excerpts for criticism, study, teaching, research, or news reporting, to the extent justified by that purpose.

When quoting, always give the author’s name, the title of the text or book, and a link to the original page. Do not alter the text: in poems, respect the lines, punctuation, and line breaks.

Prior written permission is required to reproduce complete texts or substantial parts, complete poems, photographs, or audio recordings; to translate, adapt, or publish them in a book, anthology, magazine, or other medium; and for any commercial use. Texts on international politics, geopolitics, strategy, defense, technology, and artificial intelligence express the author’s analysis and opinion, built on open sources and on the information available when they were written. Bear that date in mind: the situation described may have changed since.

They do not constitute professional advice of any kind — legal, financial, investment, security, or military — and should not be the sole basis for decisions. Scenarios and projections are analytical exercises, not guaranteed forecasts.

The site does not currently accept comments. Should this feature be enabled, the following rules will apply:

• comments are moderated before publication;
• respect is required: insults, personal attacks, defamation, hate speech, or incitement to violence will not be published;
• comments must relate to the text being discussed;
• advertising, spam, and the disclosure of other people’s personal data are not allowed;
• everyone is responsible for what they write, and comments that break these rules may be refused or removed.

Links to other sites — in particular purchase links to Amazon — open in a new tab and are marked as such. The site does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, prices, availability, or policies: purchases are made directly with the store.
